The morning of this Monday, February 24, a trailer knocked several high voltage posts and cables at kilometer 46.5 of the Inter -American Route, Sumpano, Sacatepéquez.
The injured vehicle was crossed on both roads and prevents the passage to the West and the capital.
Firefighters attend the emergency and added that this accident has left several sectors of Sumpano without electricity and some surrounding areas.
The energy cut will affect many businesses that have perishable products in cooling.
Sumpano’s volunteer firefighters shared a video that shows the trailer crossed on the route.
They asked motorists to use alternate routes, as the step is interrupted.
