The “Lord’s Tree” or “Amate” is near the General Cemetery, in zone 3 of the capital, and in recent days it has been news because the commune has reported that this will be talked.

The Commune Press Unit reported that ensuring the safety of neighbors and pedestrians who travel through the area, the Auxiliary Mayor’s Office of Zone 3 requested a study of the state of the tree to the municipal direction of the Environment.

“After a detailed evaluation, the unit of parks and green areas concluded that the tree, of the Amate species, is in a stage of overmadurity and has an inclination that represents risk of falling on the road,” he added.

This Tuesday, February 25, the commune reported that according to estimates, the “regret tree” is 100 years old.

Although the tree has not been carved, the municipality already evaluates which species could be planted in the area occupied by the amate.
