Four foreigners members of the Lev Tahor sect, accused of the crime of abuse against the minors, were captured in the capital and the province.
Four members of the Lev Tahor sect were arrested on the 6th Avenue “A” and 20 street of Zone 1 of the capital this Wednesday, February 26, under the charges of abuse against minors, the National Civil Police (PNC) reported.
This is Nissen “N”, 27, and Yoel “N”, 26, both originally from the United States and syndicates of the crime of abuse against minors.
The apprehended were driven aboard the P357JSX car.
In addition, at the Guatemalan Institute of Migration in Melchor de Mencos, Petén, Abraham and/or Avrohom, 33, of Canadian nationality, who is accused of the same crime was arrested.
The PNC explained that Chaim “N”, 24, of American nationality, indicated by the crime of trafficking in persons in forced or servile marriage mode was arrested in the same operation.
The authorities detailed that the detainees are members of the Lev Tahor sect and that the arrest warrants were issued by a Guatemala court on February 24.
They also had red notification of Interpol on January 25 of the current year.
