The 97th edition of the Oscar started this Sunday, March 2 at the Dolby Theater with an emotional segment dedicated to the city of Los Angeles, which suffered devastating fires last January.

The gala began with a video compilation of scenes of iconic films shot in Los Angeles, With the appearance in them of figures such as Sylvester Stallone, Ryan Gosling, Robert Downey Jr., Margot Robbie or Brad Pitt, to end a luminous that said: “Los Angeles needs your help.”
Immediately afterwards, the American Ariana Grande and the British Cynthia Erito, both in the distribution of WICKEDinterpreted a version of Somowhere Over The Rainbow.

Grande wore a suit and shoes in the color of Dorothy’s footwear that Judy Garland played in the mythical movie The Wizard of Oz (The Oz Wizard).
They then interpreted Defying Gravityof WICKEDwhich ended with all the theater standing and applauding.
The 2025 Oscar are presented by the American comedian Conan O’Brien and the edition arrives with great doubts to solve in some of its most relevant categories.
Without a clear favorite, this delivery is leaded in number of nominations Emilia Pérez (13), The Brutalist and WICKED (10), Conclave, A Complete Unknown (8) and Anora (6).
Stars like Penelope Cruz, Halle Berry, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., Ana de Armas, Cillian Murphy, Samuel L. Jackson, Margaret Qualley, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautist evening.
