The Panamanian goalkeeper of Xelajú MC, José Calderón, appeared before the media in a dynamic organized by the official networks of the national champion and left some more than striking phrases.

The experienced goalkeeper reviewed his team’s actuality and the performance shown in recent weeks, but also admitted to having a thorn after having lost to communications on February 27 at the Cementos Progreso stadium.

The game had dominated Xelajú Mc, but in the final minutes a double of Lynner García turned the scoreboard and in the midst of anger for having let the result escape the Quetzalteco box suffered up to five expulsions, including goalkeeper Calderón.

Now, a couple of days after that game and with the second round of Clausura 2025 less than 24 hours after starting, goalkeeper Calderón and Nery Lobos attended the media.

“It is not a secret that we did not have a regular return, it was an irregular. We focused on other things and many errors, such as arbitration,” began, “he began by saying.

“We had a talk between us and we focused on the things we stopped doing, I think we have a goal of making the greatest points in this second round,” he said.

On what happened against communications and expulsions of Xelajú, it was quite clear.

“We have a lot of casualties, some of Reds who do not know where they left. I feel that shame of losing a game that we had in favor, I say it clear, it is a team that does not play anything, communications is a team that does not play anything and did not win pure won, it hurt more than the red on the end,” he admitted.

Xelajú MC rested on the 11th of the Clausura 2025 and will return to action on day 12, which will begin on Wednesday, March 5.

His rival is Achuapa’s team on Wednesday 5 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mario Camposeco stadium in Quetzaltenango.
