Under the motto “Woman, how great your faith is; That what you want ”is fulfilled,” the Brotherhoods of the Sanctuary of San José announced the first female processional tour with the image of Jesus Nazareno de los Milagros, in honor of the Holy Jubilee Year. This courtship will take place on Saturday, March 8, first Saturday of Lent.
For the first time, the devout ladies of Jesús Nazareno de los Milagros will be able to participate in the image of the image through the historic center, opening an extraordinary tour that is expected to be carried out every five years.
A historical moment
Andrés Valle, a member of the Executive Council of the Association of Jesús Nazareno, commented that this processional step will be historical, since more than four thousand devout ladies can carry the consecrated image on their shoulders, an act that only a few have had the opportunity to perform during the first Thursday of Lent.
The realization of this extraordinary journey responds to the growing demand of devout ladies who want to carry on the shoulders of the image of Jesus Nazareno de los Milagros.
“Providing them with the opportunity to load the image is important, especially to recognize the fundamental role they play within our tradition, in the perpetuity of it and in the transmission of faith within the family,” Valle said.
Route
The procession will take place on Saturday, March 8, starting at 3:00 p.m. and ending at approximately 9:15 p.m.
