The nurse Luis Castro, who declared this Thursday, March 13 against his former Chief, the surgeon Kevin Malouf, in the case for the death of Floridalma Roque said he fears for his life and during a test audience he mentioned four people, including defense lawyer Alejandro Arriaza.
During his statement, Castro revealed details of what happened with Floridalma Roque, who arrived at the Malouf clinic to undergo signing cheekbone surgery, but his relatives denounced his disappearance and a year later his remains were found in a bit of a farm of San Vicente Pacaya, Escuintla.
The nurse said that, the fact that he is in the position of witness can loud problems to many, so he said he fears for his life, and pointed out that Malouf, to the others the accused in the case, Susana Rojas and Lydia Moreira, as well as the lawyer Alejandro Arriaza.
“It is not the first time that I denounce and I have done it in the previous audiences and I fear for my life and I do it as follows. Both for Kevin Malouf Sierra, by Lidia Silva Moreira, by Susana Emilia Rojas and now I can say that also by Kevin Malouf Sierra, Mr. Arriaza, “Castro said during his statement.
Therefore, the now witness requested that it be protected.
For his part, Arriaza rejected the accusations made by Castro and requested security measures.
“I am not any criminal, I have never been convicted of any fact, and it is impermissible that the Lord -Luis Castro- I syndique me that he is afraid that I do something to him, I have never participated in a criminal act (…) I have no intention of wanting to hurt him or any person, I am a correct person, honorable of years of being a lawyer and being a prosecutor of the Public Ministry (…) I request safety measures for my person. Judge Pedro Laynez said Arriaza.
Roque was last seen on August 13, 2023, and it was until almost a year after the surgeon confessed to the researchers the site where he left Roque’s lifeless body.
Initially the Public Ministry (MP) accused Malouf of plagiarism or kidnapping, but before his statement a court reformed the crime against him for homicide on August 21, 2024.
