This Sunday, March 16, Second Sunday of Lent, three processions will tour the Historic Center of Guatemala City.
Procession of Jesús Nazareno de Justicia of El Calvario
The Procession of the Parish Our Lady of Remedies, located on the sixth Avenue and 18 street of Zone 1, travels for 14 hours the historic center of Guatemala.
At 8 am it leaves and the 5th Avenue goes to the 13th street, where it turns to the 2nd Avenue, cross the 14th street and then on the 1st Avenue it reaches the 17th street, where it goes to Elena Avenue. Tour the entire 1st Avenue to the 5th street and take the 3rd avenue to cross on the 8th street and go to Cathedral.
It passes in front of the National Palace, crowns it and continues along the 5th street to 13 avenue, on the 7th street crosses towards 12 Av. Until 14 street. There, it crosses on the 9th Avenue, takes the 12th street to reach the 7th Avenue, already back to the temple. Enter at approximately 22 hours.
Procession of Santísima de la Soledad of the collection
The procession of Mary Most Holy of the Soledad of the Holy Parish Name of Jesus, Temple of the Collection, located in the 3rd street and 3rd Avenue of Zone 1. begins its route at 2 pm, along the 3rd avenue in the direction of the 4th street of zone 2.
There it crosses towards the 5th Avenue, where the Morazán Park crown and then takes the 6th Avenue to the 2nd street. Follow the 4th Avenue to the 5th street where it crosses towards the 3rd Avenue.
On the 8th street crosses and continues to the 1st avenue. He goes to the 3rd street already back to the temple, where he enters at 9.30 pm.
Franciscan Virgin Procession
At 16.30 the procession of the Historic Temple of San Francisco, located on the Sixth Avenue and 13 street in Zone 1.
The tour takes the sixth avenue in the direction of the 11th street, where it crosses towards the 8th Avenue, the 14th street arrives and takes the 9th avenue to the 12th street.
Already back, cross on the 7th Avenue until 18 street and return along the 6th Avenue to the Temple, around 22 hours.

- In the morning, the recommendation is to circulate through the 3rd or 4th streets. And if the 10th or 11 avenues are directed from north to south or vice versa, they could be an option.
