MP and PNC report second capture for the crime against Mayor Gerson Ajcúc

Chuarrancho’s mayor died on February 26 after being intercepted and attacked in a route sector to the Atlantic.

The authorities reported this Sunday, March 16, a second capture for the crime against the mayor of Chuarrancho, Gerson Ajcú. Edil Chief who died as a result of an armed attack on February 26.

A search coordinated by the Public Ministry (MP) allowed to locate a second suspect in the crime. Exactly in a house located in the El Caracol neighborhood of zone 18.

Among the possible hypotheses of the crime, the authorities include that they could be addressed by political issues or for an investigation for drug trafficking issues that have not provided more details.

The detainee was identified as Oscar Alfredo Martínez Ramos and is pointed out for the crime of murder. The authorities place him as the motorcycle driver who intercepted the mayor on February 26 and then escaped from the place.

Martínez Ramos is of Salvadoran nationality, according to the reports of the authorities. Even during the raid a passport was located that valid its nationality.

The suspect would have been identified for 10 days, according to the authorities, which proceeded to follow up to avoid a possible leak.

Last night the suspect would have left the property to buy alcoholic beverages for a “small party”, which according to the authorities extended until 3 in the morning today.

The case against the crime of the mayor of Chuarrancho is in the fifth penalty court, an instance by Judge Judith Secaida.
