The National Team of Guatemala Playa Soccer closed its historic participation in the Concacaf Premundial with a 2-1 defeat against El Salvador in the final of the tournament.

Despite the result, the blue and white sealed a memorable performance, achieving his first classification to a FIFA World Cup, where he will compete in Seychelles 2025.

The game, played in Bahamas, began with Guatemala taking the advantage thanks to a goal by Miguel González, who opened the scoring with a great definition. However, El Salvador reacted quickly, adjusted his scheme and managed to turn the scoreboard, finally imposing 2-1.

The blue and white fought until the end, but failed to break the Salvadoran defense in the decisive minutes. With this victory, El Salvador was crowned champion of the Concacaf Premundial, consolidating himself as one of the strongest selections in the region in this discipline.

This was the second confrontation between both teams in the tournament, and again the Cuscatlecos took the victory. In the group stage, El Salvador thrashed Guatemala 7-0, demonstrating his domain in the contest. Despite the improvement of the chapines in the final, it was not enough to overcome his rival.

Beyond the defeat, Guatemala made history in the Premundial, achieving an unprecedented classification to the World Cup of Playa. The blue and white showed its growth in the discipline and made it clear that it has potential to compete internationally.

Now, the Chapín team must continue its preparation for its participation in the World Cup in Seychelles 2025, which will be played in May. Guatemala will seek to continue surprising in the maximum competition of beach football and represent Concacaf with El Salvador.
