Óscar Alfredo Martínez, aka “El Guanaco”, was linked to criminal proceedings for murder this Monday, March 17, after the Public Ministry (MP) pointed out to be one of the hitmen who participated in the attack against the mayor of Chuarrancho, Gerson Ajcuc, judicial sources reported.
Martínez, from Salvadoran nationality, was sent to the pretrial detention to the maximum security prison Renovation I.
The intermediate stage hearing was scheduled for July 1 in the fifth court of first criminal instance.
It was reported that “El Guanaco” is the husband of a daughter of the cohabiting of Érick Fernando Solórzano Pirir, the other involved in the case.

The authorities reported on Sunday, March 16, a second capture for the crime against Ajcuc, who was attacked on February 26.
A search coordinated by the MP allowed to locate a second suspect in a house located in the El Caracol neighborhood, zone 18.
Among the crime hypotheses, the authorities include that it could be a political conflict or investigation related to drug trafficking, on which they have not provided more details.
The detainee was identified as Oscar Alfredo Martínez Ramos and is pointed out for the crime of murder. The authorities place him as the motorcycle driver who intercepted the mayor on February 26 and then escaped from the place.
