The police report of the traffic accident in which the official deputy Samuel Pérez Álvarez was not published will not be published, because, in accordance with the Ministry of the Interior, it is not public information. In addition, it is pointed out that in the accident there were only material damage and that an insurer took over.
The Minister of the Interior, Francisco Jiménez, said Monday, March 17 that there are sectors interested in misinforming about this traffic event, which occurred last Saturday at a road in Santa Lucía Milpas Altas, Sacatepéquez.
The official questioned the information that circulates in social networks about the accident.
“The only thing I can say is that there was a car incident.” This incident implied the damage to a material issue, the problem was resolved in terms of the insurer. Simply and simply it is an issue that we all solve it. There is nothing more to say, I am not going to publish or give the content of a police report because it is not information that must be public in that regard, ”said Jiménez.
He added that in this case it was acted according to the protocols and specific aspects.
“We are not wasting time in the inventions that some sector you don’t want is already trying to include in a narrative that is not so,” he added.
He explained that, if there had been a third party involved, the National Civil Police was obliged to proceed, but as in this case there were no injuries, he acted based on the law.
Pérez Álvarez, on the other hand, told journalists that he did not travel drunk and that he shows this is that the insurer took over the procedure.
