Agents of the National Civil Police (PNC) and prosecutors of the Public Ministry (MP) carried out this Friday, March 28, 33 raids in residences in zone 18, in search of indications that contribute to investigations related to extortion, the Prosecutor’s Office reported.
According to María José Mansilla, spokeswoman of the MP, during the proceedings the capture of 10 alleged extortionists was achieved and firearms, stolen motorcycles and ammunition were seized.
The authorities have not revealed whether it is an operation that includes several cases or if it corresponds to a specific one.
The Prosecutor’s Office against the Crime of Extortion, through these 33 proceedings led by the Public Ministry, with the accompaniment of investigators of the National Division against the Criminal Development of the Gangs (Diponda), located in the properties located in zone 18 two firearms, three motorcycles with theft report, ammunition and chargers for firearm, Mansilla reported.
In addition, he confirmed the capture of 10 people for crimes related to extortion.
