They accuse a Swedish citizen of using Pablo Escobar’s image to sell false products, such as flamethrowers and telephones, through the Escobar Inc.

American justice has accused a Swedish citizen of more than 100 federal positions who claimed to have the representation rights of the late Colombian drug trafficker Pablo Escobarwith which it allegedly disappointed investors and customers through the sale of products that included a “ruling Escobar”.
Olaf Kyros Gustafsson, 31, known with the aka of “El Silencio”, is this Sunday in custody of federal authorities in California, after being extradited from Spain, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Gustafsson faces in total 115 federal positions: 14 related to electronic fraud, 41 for money laundering, 35 international money laundering and 25 positions of participation in monetary transactions with goods derived from illicit activities.
According to the federal accusation, The Swedish was the executive director of Escobar Inc.a corporation registered in Puerto Rico that claimed to have the rights of succession on the personality and legacy of the famous leader of the Medellín poster.
The DOJ ensures that the Escobar Inc. He used, between July 2019 and November 2023, the image and personality of the Colombian boss to market and sell supposed products that included a rapture Escobara folding phone Escobar, a Escobar Gold 11 Pro phone and Escobar Cash (promoted as a “physical cryptocurrency”).
The US Department of Justice ensures that none of these promoted products really existed. Some of the disappointed victims reside in Los Angeles County.
Gustafsson was arrested in Spain in December 2023 and extradited last Thursday.
A detention hearing was scheduled for April 3 and the trial is expected to start on May 20 in a Federal Court in Los Angeles.
