A 200 -year historical magnolia planted by former president Andrew Jackson will be withdrawn from the White House due to its advanced deterioration.

A magnolia tree planted almost 200 years ago in the South Garden of the White House will be removed due to its deterioration, President Donald Trump said Sunday, who warned that the plant represented a danger.
In a publication in your account of Social truththe American president said that, after consulting with the staff of the Executive Residence and the National Parks Service, it was decided to replace the tree planted by former president Andrew Jackson (1829-1837).
Trump explained that his administration is “making improvements in the White House, preserving and protecting the story.”
“The bad news is that everything must come to an end, and this tree is in bad conditions, representing a risk for security, nothing less than at the entrance of the White House, and now it must be retired,” added the US president.
He highlighted the importance of the tree, a Magnolia Grandiflora southern whose seeds were brought directly from Jackson’s home, The Heritagein Tennessee, according to the National Parks Service.
The former president planted the seeds in the South Garden of the White House in honor of his late wife, Rachel, who died a few months before he assumed the position.
The removal of the tree will be carried out next week and “will be replaced by another very beautiful tree,” Trump said.
Magnolia’s wood “could be used for other high and noble purposes!” Added the president.
