Guatemala traffic authorities have spoken this March 31 on alleged blockages in several sectors of the metropolitan area, reported in different social media pages.
Amílcar Montejo, mayor of transit of the city of Guatemala, listed some pages in which alleged blockages are reported near the El Trébol bridge, as well as in the CA-1 and in Zacapa, and said that this information is false.
“Every day there are virtual spaces that transfer imprecise data and use videos or material of other times and scenarios that are not consistent with the juncture of March 2025,” says Montejo.
In a publication on its social networks, Montejo shared a video that shows the area of El Trébol and the Free Roosevelt road.
In addition, he pointed out that a group of healths withdrew from the 6th Avenue and 4th Street in Zone 1, so the Paseo de la Sexta was free, while another group remains in the 6th street, in front of the National Palace.

“These pages confuse and make drivers and users take measures that should not, which causes waste of time in their daily activities, in addition to affecting commercial transactions and even the educational and industrial field,” says Montejo.

Mixco
On the other hand, Mixco’s spokesman, Mynor Espinoza, indicated that there are currently no pages that report alleged blockages in the municipality, although several users have made consultations with the authorities in the face of uncertainty.

New Villa
On the other hand, Villa Nueva’s traffic authorities have reported on their social networks about a blockade at kilometer 37 of the Route to the Pacific, in addition to sharing a photograph where the vehicular scene is seen.
However, Henry Quevedo, from the Municipal Police of Villa Nueva, indicated that there are currently no more blockages.

Motorists spreading nails?
On March 28, a video circulated in an alleged group of motorists would have launched nails in different areas of the city of Guatemala to affect vehicular mobility.
However, traffic authorities denied this video, which obtained more of 120 thousand 800 visualizations.
