The US president, Donald Trump, said Monday, March 31 that he is glad “much” for the relationship between his exnuera, Vanessa Trump, and the golfer Tiger Woods, and said that the relationship with his son was damaged by the “witch hunt” carried out against him.

“I love Tiger and I love Vanessa. I think the relationship with my son was very harmed by the witch hunt that was with everything about Russia,” said the president to the press in the Oval Office of the White House.

With this comment, Trump seemed to refer to the controversial meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer in 2016, in which his son was looking for compromising information against Hillary Clinton, then Trump’s rival in the elections.

The Republican leader told the media that, in the last month, he has played the golf “a couple of times” with Woods, who said that “he is a fantastic guy and athlete”: “that both are happy,” he said.

The president also pointed out that from the marriage between Vanessa and Donald Trump Jr. came out “five incredible children, all good athletes and great students”, and recalled that both “broke a long time ago.”

The famous golfer Tiger Woods recently confirmed that he maintains a romantic relationship with Vanessa Trump, after publishing several photographs of both in his social network.

Vanessa Trump was married to Donald Trump Jr. from 2005 to 2018 and had five children, while Tiger was also married to the Swedish model Elin Nordegren, from 2004 to 2010.
