For the second consecutive week, most of the banks of the benches did not reach the instance of block leaders, so there will be no plenary this week.
In addition, this April 7 members of the 48 cantons of Totonicapán arrived at the Congress with the objective of being agreed with the salary increase of the deputies.
According to statements from the president of Congress, Nery Ramos, all block leaders were notified about the session on Monday, but only five of 16 bosses were present.
This is the second consecutive time that the Block Chiefs Meeting is not held to discuss the legislative agenda, since on March 31 it was also not carried out due to the lack of attending parliamentarians.
Among the issues that were going to be addressed is the possible repeal of the established point of the agreement that authorizes a salary increase to the deputies, which, according to the Board of Directors on March 25, has been suspended.
