Several months ago, Ángel Daniel Chinchilla and Joselin Arias Regalado They were excited to become parents, but their life changed that October 24, 2024, when the 18 -year -old disappeared.
At the hearing on April 7, Chinchilla spoke in front of the Criminal Judgment of Izabal, and recalled the last time he saw his wife at the rear of the accused’s house, where he was practiced a clandestine caesarean section.
The last time Chinchilla saw his wife Joselin Judith alive was that Thursday, October 24, before going to work.
Chinchilla said both were written when they arrived at their work, but that day she did not answer the messages.
He pointed out that at noon his mother -in -law called him, worried because she didn’t know anything about Joselin, who worked as a saleswoman in a telephone company.
An hour later, Daniel Chinchilla communicated to his wife’s work to know if he was fine, but told him that Arias Regalado had asked permission.
Chinchilla was reminded that his wife had been offered to give him baby clothes.
He added that, next to his mother -in -law, they began the search for the streets of Puerto Barrios and asked a woman who was going with a carriage if she was giving clothes for a newborn, to which she replied that no.
Minutes later, they obtained the direction of Yulissa Marroquín, who had offered to give baby clothes on social networks.
Chinchilla arrived until 16 avenue and 9th street of Puerto Barrios. He touched the door and Marroquín came out, who said Arias had arrived, but then he had gone in a taxi.
“He had cynicism, the carelessness of giving us his number to call her in case we knew about her,” Chinchilla said.
Around 15.30 that same Thursday, Chinchilla tried to activate an Isabel-Claudina alert, but while waiting to conclude the procedures, his cell phone rang.
“They call me to tell me that the woman they were looking for had appeared, but maybe we would not like what we were going to see, what we were going to find,” he said.
Chinchilla said he received that call at approximately 17.30. At that time, Anthony Regalado, brother of Joseline, had already joined the search.
“I didn’t finish putting the complaint and headed there with the hope of finding my wife. And I found her. Do you know how I found her?” He asked at the audience. I found her with her belly open, lifeless and without my baby”Said Chinchilla.
Anthony Regalado was also called and the family went to the house where they had been two hours before: Marroquín’s house.
“We were looking for her, shouting, and he never answered”Chinchilla said.

The baby search
Arias Regalado had seven months of gestation and had a clandestine caesarean section to extract the baby, who was taken to another house, in the Mitch neighborhood, Puerto Barrios, Izabal.

The defendant worked as a waitress
Yulissa Marroquín, accused of murder, told the Court of Judgment of Izabal that she works as a waitress and won about Q3 thousand between base salary and tips. In addition, he refrained from declaring.
