The PNC and the MP confiscated more than Q700 thousand in a coatepeque house, Quetzaltenango.

The National Civil Police (PNC) reported on Wednesday, April 9 that, during a search carried out in Coatepeque, QuetzaltenangoQ733 thousand 360 were located and captured Aracely “N”, 74.
According to the PNC, the detainee could not demonstrate the legality or the origin of the money. During the diligence, the researchers kidnapped a laptop and several documents.
The confiscated will allow to continue with the research processes related to the death of a person, whose relatives, supposedly, would have appropriated several goods of the deceased illegally, as reported by the PNC.
The captured was transferred, in police custody, to a health center, because it reported health problems.
The Public Ministry reported that the Coatepeque District Prosecutor’s Office, in coordination with the PNC, participated in the search.
The investigating body added that the detainee is indicated of the alleged crime of money laundering or other assets, based on the indications located in his residence.
