A tourist helicopter from the New York Helicopter company rushed to the Hudson River, an accident that left six deaths, including five Spaniards. The firm had been news in 2013 for an emergency landing without victims.

The New York Helicopter company, which operated the tourist helicopter that rushed this Thursday, April 10 to the Hudson River in an accident that cost the lives of five Spaniards and the pilot, had already been involved in a similar accident, according to the New York Post.
According to that American media, in 2013 a helicopter from this company made an emergency landing while transporting four Swedish tourists. Unlike the accident on Thursday, all the occupants, including the pilot, survived.
On that occasion, the executive director of the tourist company, Michael Roth, told the Wall Street Journal that the aircraft underwent daily routine inspections, but that had “no idea why” the helicopter had broken down in full flight.
This Thursday, Roth reiterated that “I had no idea” of what caused the accident in which six people died – the pilot, two adults and three minors – and added: “I have not seen anything like that in the 30 years that I have been in the helicopter business.”
The Spanish who died today with his family – his wife and three children – is Agustín E., director of the Siemens company in Spain, as reported by the local press, which he quotes police sources.
