The singer Rubby Pérez He died while a party enlivened last Tuesday, April 8, in one of the most shocking tragedies of the Dominican Republic, when he collapsed the roof of the Jet Set disco.
Zulinka Pérez, daughter of the artist, told the Univisión chain that he will sue “without thinking” to the owner of the disco, Antonio Espaillat, whom he said he had “affection”, but said that his decision is not based on personal matters.
“Antonio is responsible before me, before a town, before so many lives, before so many children without dad and without mom, of so many mothers without her children,” said the singer, ensuring that Espaillat has not called her.
He affirmed that the tragedy has been the most tragic and shocking thing he has witnessed. She, as a chorist, was close to Rubby Pérez at the time of collapse.
“I saw how a beam crushed my dad. One I saw her come to my face, I have blows (…) See your father die in that way I don’t want anyone,” he added.
Zulinka said that at the time of the event, which occurred minutes after midnight on Tuesday, he sang with his father the song Roseand that she told her husband – also a Chorist of the orchestra – that something happened among the public, because she observed people pushing.

Espaillat is also the owner of a wide network of radial stations, some of them among the most listened to in the country.
In the tragedy, in addition to Rubby Pérez, 224 people have died, according to the most recent balance released this Saturday by the health authorities of the Dominican Republic, as well as more than 180 injured.
This number could increase, said Health Minister Víctor Atallah.
Among the deceased are also the former Major Leagues Octavio Dotel; the governor of the province of Montecristi, Nelsy Cruz; as well as a son of the former president of the Senate and Minister of Public Works, Eduardo Estrella.
