The duo of Guatemalan shooters, both medalists at the Olympic Games of Paris 2024, went up to the IssF World Cup event held in Peru.

It was an afternoon of celebration for the Guatemalans Jean Pierre Brol and Adriana Ruano in the ISSF World Cup that is being carried out in Lima, Peru, between April 12 and 22, 2025.
Both shooters made a duo in the mixed team test of the Olympic pit (trap) test and reached the final where they faced the gold medal against Mitchell iles and Penny Smith of Australia.
The national athletes competed with everything for the golden medal, but this finally remained in the hands of the Australians after the final count of successes that favored them by 42 over 39 of the Guatemalans.
The third place was the Italian pair composed of Mauro de Filippis and Silvana María Stanco.
This triumph arrives only one day after Adriana Ruano won a bronze medal in the individual Olympic pit competition in the World Cup in Lima, so her count of conquests conquest in the last week amounts to two.
Meanwhile for Jean Pierre Brol this medal adds to gold which he got a few weeks ago in the World Cup in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
For both Adriana Ruano and Jean Pierre Brol these conquests are the first of a year where they aspire to continue demonstrating that they belong to the elite of the shooting with hunting weapons.
In 2024 both won their greatest achievements to date: Ruano conquered the gold medal at the Paris and Jean Pierre Brol Olympic Games took the bronze medal.
