Google joins the commemoration of International Mother Earth Day with a doodle that is displayed in your search engine. The illustration uses satellite images of natural landscapes to form the letters of the technological giant.
A river meander, a lake and a crack on the earth’s surface make up the letters of Google. When clicking on the Doodle, users are aimed at a search related to the progress of the Climate change.
The search engine accompanies the illustration with a message that indicates: “Today’s doodle presents the natural beauty and biodiversity of the planet, And it reminds us of the importance of protecting it for future generations. ”
Similarly, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA, in English) adds to this ephemeris, allowing users to create a personalized poster with their name from satellite images of the planet. “Let’s celebrate our native planet from a unique point of view: space!”, Said the entity in its official profile in X.
Today we celebrate the Earth as only NASA can do it.

Why is Mother Earth’s day celebrated?
According to the United Nations Organization (UN), This date seeks to make visible the need for human beings to adopt measures to climate change and other problems that negatively affect the environment.
Earth Day It is celebrated every April 22 since 1970when a mass demonstration in the United States took place to demand the creation of an environmental agency. Officially, this ephemeris is known as International Mother Earth Day.
According to UN data, climate change, the transformation of ecosystems and crimes against biodiversity – as deforestation, change of land use, agriculture and intensive livestockand the growing illegal wildlife trade – seriously impact natural balance. Therefore, an urgent call is made to promote its restoration and protection.
The international entity emphasizes that ecosystems are essential for life, since our health and that of the planet depend on them. This commemoration represents an opportunity to reflect on that interdependence and adopt actions in favor of the conservation of the environment, which is also our home.
