This Thursday, April 24, the National Football Federation of Guatemala made official the new logo and image that the Guatemala selection will use from now on.
The news came through a press conference held at the FEDEFUT facilities where a video was also shown where some of the historical moments of the National Team are reviewed until the arrival of this new logo.
“And in its wings lift up to heaven! The FFG begins a flight to the future, hope and unity through Quetzal. This new chapter reflects the commitment to raise football and consolidate as a reason for national pride,” says the public networks of Fedefut.
“In every corner of our country football beats in our hearts, in each pass and in each dream the heroes of our country rise,” says the video presentation.
The publication also reviews the different logos of the Guatemala selection, passing through five different to the new one, which is the figure of a white quetzal accompanied by a golden shield.
As reported by Gerardo Paiz, president of the FEDEFUT, funds from the Federation for the new logo were not touched, being an initiative on its part and had a price of about US $ 25,000 (Q192mil 401).
“It is simply a logo change, I got together with them (people who did the project). They did analysis and it was determined that a change was necessary,” he said.
This new logo will be used by the different national soccer teams, and possibly will be released by the major selection during the June World Cup qualifiers against the Dominican and Jamaica Republic.
