Neighbors, relatives and teaching staff of the community of Azulco paid tribute to Daniel Julio Aníbal Corado García, who was killed Machetazos on Friday, April 25, 2025.
The tribute was held at the Official School of Blueco, after 3 pm on Saturday, April 26, where relatives, neighbors and teachers remembered Daniel as a kind, intelligent, charitable and flag bearer of his grade of third primary third.
During the ceremony, the director of the Educational Center, Algeria Arévalo, said: “We repudiate and condemn this atrocious fact against our beloved student Julio Aníbal Corado García. We ask the authorities not to leave this crime in impunity and that justice is applied. We raise their voice to protect our children, girls, young people and adolescents, and enforce human rights in Blue.”
Arévalo recalled that the community remains in mourning not only for this crime, but also for other recent violent events, such as the murder of Fernanda García Ramírez, who was kidnapped and found lifeless on a town farm.
Wave of violence and abandonment
The director denounced the increase in assaults, theft, vehicle dismantling, drug use and crimes against property and livestock, all facilitated by the lack of police presence in the area.
He recalled that since 2011 the neighbors have asked the authorities to install a police substation, without obtaining a response.
“We are more than 8 thousand inhabitants and we need protection. We cannot continue ignoring this wave of violence that has already taken us innocent lives,” he said.
A goodbye full of love
Daniel’s emotional farewell was marked by white balloons and the song “Living the children.” Family, friends and neighbors paid tribute to the child.
During the act, the director Algeria Arévalo and the teacher Lesly Arévalo announced that the desk where Daniel used to sit will remain empty as a symbol of the pain that seizes the community. With the broken voice, the teacher placed a book and a white flower on the empty desk.
“Daniel was an outstanding, educated, responsible and participatory child. He did not deserve such a tragic end. Now he will be our Guardian angel and his memory must strengthen our struggle for a better future for all our children,” concluded the director.
Capture of the alleged responsible
The National Civil Police (PNC) reported the capture of the alleged responsible, identified as Danilo “N”, 52, who tried to flee among the bushes after the attack. The arrest was made in the La Toma neighborhood, Aldea Azulco, about 800 meters from the crime place. The captured was made to court.
