The General Directorate of Road Protection and Safety (Provial) reports that at least 11 road sections are blocked in the country this Monday, April 28.
The demonstrations prevent the passage of important routes of the national territory.
The demonstrations are led by the Peasant Development Committee (CODECA) that announced national mobilizations for “criminalization” in the country, after the capture of Vice Minister Luis Pacheco.
On Sunday, April 27, the Constitutional Court granted a provisional protection for the blockages and warned President Bernardo Arévalo to guarantee free mobility.
The protesters have placed branches and other objects that prevent free locomotion.
