The undercut repair works that affect the passage between Tubac and Villa Hermosa advance this Monday, May 5, according to the municipalities of Villa Nueva and San Miguel Petapa, which took over the authorization of the passage through the sector.
These communes ensure that the filling with select and concrete material is over, and that the gutter and water drop are now waterproofed.
It was reported that, while repairs advance, the step is partially enabled, because it is only worked in the lower part of the slope and the gavions.
The National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (CONRED) reported on May 2 about undercut on the route to El Frutal, in San Miguel Petapa, Villa Nueva.
According to the Conred, the undercut was caused by the rains.
