The publication of the video, in which it is observed how two men stalk an older adult – positively a street vendor – to steal the money he has while resting, has caused outrage among Internet users, who demand the capture of criminals.
Some publications point out that the victim is known as “Don Monchito”, who every weekend arrives from Chiquimula to sell manias, sweets and fruits.
In the recording it is observed how the assailants watch the victim while telling her money – positively product of the sales of the day – and in an instant one of them pounces on the older adult, struggles with him and snatches the cash before fleeing.
“Unhappy, the maid working and they just seeing who is neglected, miserable,” said a Facebook user.
“I can’t believe there was no one to help poor old man,” another user wrote.
Another comment indicates: “What helplessness shows that Guatemala is worse every day, with so much crime that affects humble and workers who get up early to have daily livelihood. First God, the grandfather is well found.”
“I say, why don’t you work?
Social network users point out that the National Civil Police (PNC) and the Public Ministry (MP) have enough elements to identify those responsible for theft and process them according to the law.
