The General Directorate of Road Protection and Safety (Provial) informs of a block this Wednesday, May 7 at kilometer 279 of the CA-13 route, in San Antonio Sejá, Río Dulce, Lívingston, Izabal.

The passage of vehicles is interrupted in both directions of the route.

According to local media, a group of people manifests against a mining company and there is no step towards Petén or towards Guatemala City.

They added that the mining activity takes place in Sierra Santa Cruz, which would have caused discontent in some settlers.

In early April there were also blockages on the aforementioned route.
