After two years of waiting, Rockstar Games revealed the second Trailer of Grand Theft Aut VI, With which he confirmed new surprises of his anticipated video game: the history of the protagonists, a look at the city where the plot and the official launch date will take place, set for May 26, 2026.
The sixth installment of the popular franchise was originally planned for the fall of 2025, but on May 2 the company announced a delay, justifying the decision in its commitment to deliver a more polished product and with higher quality standards.
Rockstar had already shown a first advance on December 4, 2023, with short scenes that showed a more ambitious story and notoriously advanced graphics, positioning the title as the most anticipated since the launch of the launch of GTA v In 2013.

Set in a fictitious city inspired by Miami – a modern version of the classic Vice City – the advance offers beaches, street persecutions, parties and a vibrant atmosphere never before seen in the saga.
In the two minutes of the trailer, Jason is observed by committing small robberies while traveling the city, waiting for Lucía’s release, his partner, who serves a sentence in the Leonida prison. With their departure, both resume their criminal life and begin to plan a series of robberies that submerge them in a spiral of risks, persecutions and conflicts with new villains.
In addition to the protagonists, the advance shows possible secondary characters with which the player could interact or face, which anticipates a richer and more complex gameplay.
With an estimated investment in almost Q15 billion (about USD2 billion), Rockstar Games promises GTA VI to a new level of realism and narrative. Although its launch has been confirmed by May 2026, the price with which it will reach the market has not yet been revealed.

Next to the launch of the trailer, the developer enabled an official site with expanded information about history and the protagonists. The synopsis advances that Jason and Lucia will be trapped in “the darkest side of the most sunny place in America”, after a robbery went wrong, triggering a criminal conspiracy that will test their relationship.
According to the profile published on the web, Jason was raised between scammers and criminals. Although he tried to rebuild his life, he left the army and ended up working for drug traffickers in the region.
For her part, Lucia is a woman marked by a difficult childhood, which led her to crime and, eventually, to the Penitentiary of Leonida, from where she reunited with Jason to resume a life of risk and assaults in the streets of Vice City.
