The Secretary of State of the United States, Marco Rubio, who is also a national security advisor, coordinator of the closure of USAID and custodian of the national archives, joked this Wednesday with assuming even more positions, such as that of General Surgeon or Library, after receiving a prize from the Hispanic Leadership Institute in Congress.

“It’s great to be here. As I said, it is always flattering to receive a prize and be recognized. I was president of the House of Representatives, member of the Senate. Now I am Secretary of State, National Security Advisor, interim archivist and interim director of USAID … and general surgeon (Director of Public Health). No, I am not. Assistant to the Gala of the Hispanic Leadership Institute.

Rubio also said it would be a good librarian of Congress: “That would be a good job,” he said.

In any case, Rubio may not be the next director of Public Health of the United States, since this Wednesday, President Donald Trump announced that he pays attention to Casey Means for that position, after withdrawing the candidacy of his previous election, Janette Nesheiwat, collaborator of the Fox News chain.

It is not the first time that Rubio makes this type of jokes. In a recent interview with Fox News, on the occasion of his new tasks, he ruled out of laughter as a potato: “I am happily married.”

The politician, born 53 years ago in Miami, within a Cuban family, also expressed some words in perfect Spanish to thank the leadership prize.
