During this period, the traffic authorities will implement a reversible lane system in the Santa Catarina Pinula sector to minimize road effects.

Amílcar Montejo, head of communication of Emetra, informed that it is not a total closure and that, to relieve traffic, a reversible lane will be enabled from the capital to the East.

“The Ministry of Communications announced works on the new kilometer bridge 11.5 of the route to El Salvador, in the direction of the East. These works will be only at the schedules of 22.00 at 4.00, from Friday 9 to Tuesday, May 13, 2025,” Montejo reiterated.

In addition, he called on the users of that road to use the alternate roads available during the time that the road closure lasts.

“Derived from these works, they will establish a reversible lane in that sector of Santa Catarina Pinula, which is why we remember the alternate roads located in the 20th street of zone 10 towards Muxbal. It can also be connected from the avenue emphasis towards the mouth of the mountain and, from that section, to Santa Catarina Pinula. You can use the vehicular connection from the boulevard the mountain to Vista Hermosa iv or the pult. Montejo.

Likewise, the ether authorities call citizens to respect the indications of traffic agents that will be administering vehicular circulation in the affected area.

They reiterated that this measure seeks to guarantee the security of both workers who will carry out maintenance work and drivers that transit through the area during established schedules.

Therefore, the authorities recommend users of this way planning their displacements in advance, considering the possible delays that could be generated during the period of work, especially for those who need to circulate in the scheduled schedules for the works.

For its part, Provial reported that it remains alert to the partial closure of the road to El Salvador.

“We make an attentive reminder to the users of the CA-1 Oriente on the road to El Salvador about partial closures by night works that will be carried out from today until next Tuesday, May 13. Reversible lane will be enabled,” provincial wrote in their social networks.
