The trial against William Oswaldo Capriel Coloch, former administrative secretary of the Private Secretariat of the Presidency, will be in charge of the Seventh Court of Judgment and will begin on April 30, 2026 by the Case corruption.
The Public Ministry (MP) reported on Monday, June 2 that during the evidence offering hearing in the process against Capriel Coloch, the Seventh Criminal Instance Court decided to admit in its entirety the evidence presented by the Special Prosecutor’s Office against Impunity.
“In contrast, he rejected several evidence offered by the defense of the union, considering that they did not meet the minimum requirements established by law,” according to the MP.
According to the MP, Capriel Coloch is indicated of the crimes of unregistered electoral financing and electoral control of funds.
The former official served in the government of Bernardo Arévalo and was exercising when he voluntarily presented the court.
He appeared on August 30, 2024 before Judge Fredy Orellana by the Seventh Criminal Court.
