Sacapular residents, Quiché, are affected by floods after heavy rains.

The National Coordinator for Disaster Reduction (Conred) reported that, following heavy rains in Sacapulas, Quiche, The Caserío Chacayá creek increased its flow and caused sudden floods.
He added that a road was affected and that four homes have minor damage, according to the first report.
In images shared by Conred is observed a large amount of mud, stones and tires that were dragged by the current on Tuesday, June 3.
What happened also affected vehicular and pedestrian mobility in the aforementioned municipality.
Local media shared videos observed to heavy transport vehicles trapped between mud.
They also reported damage to vehicles caused by mud and stones.
The Guatemalan Red Cross reported that together with the volunteer firefighters rescued five adults and five children in the San Francisco neighborhood, Sacapulas, after being trapped by the floods that were recorded.
