Agents of the National Civil Police (PNC) found a hidden arsenal in an agricultural truck with theft report, which was parked in the parking lot of a shopping center in Ciudad San Cristóbal, zone 8 of Mixco, official sources reported on Wednesday, June 4.
According to the PNC, the vehicle in which the weapons were located was stolen in April of this year on the 4th street and 11th Avenue of the San Antonio neighborhood, zone 9 of San Miguel Petapa.
The finding on Wednesday was recorded on the 14th Avenue of the San Cristóbal Boulevard, zone 8 of Mixco, where police officers from the 16th police station located the P-085ktl truck, in which they found five guns, two .223 caliber carabines without registration number, an AK-47 rush, two antibala vests and four tactical vests.
The PNC reported that of the five guns, four have theft report:
- Smith & Wesson, stolen in March of this year on the 11th Avenue and 4th Street of the Atlantis neighborhood, zone 18.
- Taurus, stolen in January in Las Garitas de Centra Sur, Zone 12, Villa Nueva.
- Gock, stolen on March 22 in a vehicle on the 22nd street, El Naranjo Boulevard, Zone 4 of Mixco.
- Taurus, stolen on October 28, 2024 in residential Santa Marta, Barberena, Santa Rosa.

Another case
The authorities reported that in a raid in Zone 1 of Santa Cruz del Quiché, police officers from the 71st police station, in coordination with the District Prosecutor’s Office, they arrested Emilio “N”, 39, and Jennifer “N”, 36, because at their home they found four guns of different calibers, a rifle, six loaders and 54 ammunition of different calibers.
It was reported that the detainees only submitted the documentation that proves the sale of weapons, but not the documentation corresponding to the possession.
