The list of professionals for the General Management of the Priority Road Infrastructure Directorate (DIPP) is completed and the Ministry of Communications, Infrastructure and Housing (MICIVI) must make the election.
It has transpired that the appointment is already made by the competent authority, as well as the signing of the respective agreement, so it will be announced in the following days. In the schedule the choice should have been made no later than May 25.
The list is made up of Karla María de la Cruz García, Claudia Lucrecia Cáceres Maldonado and Érick Estuardo Uribio González, and these are her profiles.
Karla María de la Cruz García
It is the current Deputy Director of Structuring and Hiring National Agency for Alliances for the Development of Economic Infrastructure (ANADIE). He has experience in public management and has held various positions in areas of international trade, agriculture and investment negotiations. She is a graduate of the Rafael Landívar University as an industrial chemical engineer.
Claudia Lucrecia Cáceres Maldonado
She is a graduate of Francisco Marroquín University, as a lawyer and notary. He worked in the National Competitiveness Program (Pronacom) as coordinator of the Business Climate Unit and as a consultant to the Inter -American Development Bank (IDB) and consultant for the International Financial Corporation. He was university professor in international law by that house of studies.
Érick Estuardo Uribio González
He is the current general manager of La Aurora International Airport position since 2024. He was the in functions of the National Agency for Alliances for the Development of Economic Infrastructure (ANADIE). He is an architect, graduated by the University of San Carlos de Guatemala and has 15 years of experience in public and private institutions in strategic planning, execution and management of road infrastructure, transport and real estate projects.
Priority Road Infrastructure Law (DIPP)
The Priority Road Infrastructure Law is created to regulate another hiring model for road projects, in order to improve phases such as diagnosis, preinvestment, prioritization, design and even built, expanding or rehabilitated.
For this, the design, construction, maintenance, rehabilitation, expansion and supervision of the infrastructure are declared of utility and public interest.
Also, the Directorate of Priority Projects (DIPP) is created, as a decentralized body of the Ministry of Communications (CIV). Its competence will be the priority road projects established in this law and those that can be added.
Being a decentralized entity, it will enjoy functional, economic, financial, technical and administrative independence, and that will also have its own resources.
