Patients denounced undue collections in a dental clinic in San Miguel Petapa, where, as they reported, their bank cards were used without authorization while they received treatment. The authorities already investigate the case.
There were four complaints filed by patients who attended a dental clinic located in the Prados neighborhood of Villa Hermosa, zone 7 of San Miguel Petapa.
They all had something in common: during their stay in the establishment, their credit or debit cards were used to make unauthorized charges.
According to the testimony of the victims, just before the anesthesia took effect, they were asked for their card to carry out the collection prior to dental treatment. When checking their account states, they found debit that went from Q10 thousand to Q30 thousand.
When making the claim, the clinic justified that, by mistake, one more zero had been pressed.
Due to the increase in complaints against the establishment, the Fiscal Agency of San Miguel Petapa, together with the Metropolitan Regional Prosecutor’s Office, made a search in which the pos used devices used to make the collections and several diplomas that, apparently, are false.
The owners of the Dental Clinic will be investigated for fraud, fraud and material falsehood, if they were verified that they were not entitled. So far, no catches are reported in this case.
