The National Civil Police (PNC) reported on the capture of two alleged gang members who moved in a pirate taxi on the route to the Pavón prison, in Fraijanes, where, according to the authorities, they intended to carry out an armed attack.
The detainees, alleged members of the gang of neighborhood 18, were identified as Elmer Alexánder Xitumul Cojom, 26, and Bauner Obeniel Oso López, 27, who were intercepted this Friday, June 13 during patrols made by agents of the 13th Police Station at kilometer 18.5 of the aforementioned route.
According to the official report, the detainees were conducted in a taxi without authorization (pirate), with P-287ggr plates. During the inspection, they were seized a Stoeger brand gun with the erased serial number, four bags with marijuana and two cell phones.
According to police records, Xitumul Cojom has three background: two for illegal firearm carrying, in 2017 and 2023, and one for theft of mobile terminal equipment, in 2014.
For its part, Osoy López has an antecedent for minor injuries, registered in 2019.
