This is the fourth digital municipality inaugurated by Funsepa, the result of a strategic alliance that since June 2023 has worked to equip public sector schools with technological tools and training teachers in the use of technology as a powerful pedagogical tool.
All public sector teachers in this municipality were part of a training process, 35 of them participated in the Teaching Self -Training Program, NA´At, while 222 in the Initial Level Technology Program.
This has been key to ensuring that technology becomes a real learning resource in classrooms. With this, educators have been able to acquire knowledge in digital abilities, innovative teaching methodologies and good pedagogical practices.
“This is just the beginning. Technology in education is a gateway to a world of possibilities, both Bam and Funsepa, we are committed to continuing to promote initiatives that generate real impact on the life of the students and teachers of Guatemala,” said Salvador Paiz, president of Funsepa.
Since the beginning of this alliance, the impact has been tangible. In total, 32 educational centers (26 primary schools, 6 basic institutes and 1 diversified institute) have been equipped with 475 technological devices, directly benefiting 5,824 children already 257 teachers in the municipality.

By investing in their education and well -being, we contribute directly to development and promote their abilities to the fullest. Building better opportunities for them, is what inspires us to continue making our purpose a reality,” said Carlos Prado, BAM brand manager.
In addition to transforming the classrooms of the educational centers, the BAM-Funsepa Alliance has allowed the creation of a Technological Community Center (CCT), which will guarantee access to technology and digital educational resources for the community in general. This space, developed in alliance with the local government, represents a unique opportunity to continue promoting digital learning and technological inclusion in the region.
