A couple of doctors was shot to bullets this Thursday, June 19 in Mazatenango, Suchitepéquez.
Volunteer firefighters reported that one of the victims died there. The incident occurred on the route between San Francisco Zapotitlán and Mazatenango.
In the armed attack, doctor Luis Manuel Andrade, 62, confirmed the volunteer firefighters, while his wife suffered four gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital by the municipal firefighters of Zunilito.
According to the preliminary information, the doctors were heading to an activity of celebration of Father’s Day when they were shot by men who were driving on a motorcycle.
The vehicle in which they moved was with bullet drills and damage to the front.
Investigators of the Public Ministry gathered ballistic indications at the crime scene.
