The departmental municipal firefighters reported on Thursday, June 19 that, after three days of intense search, members of the Special Rescue Patrol located the body of a minor in the La Isla community, Panzós, Alta Verapazon the Polochic River.
They added that the victim was identified as Neymar Samuel Iical Tzib, 11, originally from the El Cemetery neighborhood, zone 7 of the ink.
The minor died after being dragged by the Corrida of the Polochic River.
While on Wednesday, June 18, Firefighters located the body of Samuel Teni Ical, 54, who was also dragged by the aforementioned River. The finding occurred in Panlá I, Telemán, Panzós.
According to firefighters, search tasks were developed in Telemán and Cahaboncito, with support from other first response institutions.
According to local media, the victims are father and son who were dragged by the current when they fished in the Polochic River, near the Viejo Village, the ink.
