This Thursday, July 3, the deputies meet at Congress, but prior to the completion of the quorum of 81 legislators to continue with the plenary session, the deputy ESDUIN JAVIER JAVIER, known as “Three breaks”he mobilized in the hemicycle and addressed the other deputies.

“All of you come and do nothing,” said Deputy ESDUIN Javier to the rest of his colleagues when referring to being questioned for being one of the legislators who most lack Congress.

That said by the official caused reactions in the rest of the deputies, some laughed.

“When I come, my commissions come to me, when I do not come, they do not pay me, then you are cheating the treasury more than me,” he said.

Then the session for interpellation to the Minister of Health, Joaquín Barnoya, resumed.

Although some have presented excuses or licenses, 10 deputies were among those that have accumulated the most absences in the 17 plenary sessions convened between February and April newly passed, in a context marked by the salary increase of the officials.

The list was headed by Deputy César Augusto Amézquita del Valle, of the Vision with Value (Viva) party, with nine absences. He was followed by José Inés Castillo Martínez, of the National Unit of Hope (UNE), and José Luis Galindo de León, of value, both with eight absences. With seven fouls, Esduín Jerson Javier Javier, “Tres Baws”, representative of the Change Party for Chiquimula.

With six absences, six other congressmen appeared: Fidel Reyes Lee (good); José Orlando Pérez Marroquín (INDP – Semilla); Nadia Lorena de León Torres (we); Danilo Madrazo Mazariegos and Felipe Alejos Lorenzana (both of all); and Ervin Adim Maldonado Molina (UNE).

The salary that the deputies were prescribed has been criticized; however, The payroll reveals the increase in the base salary of the 160 legislators, raising its total income to Q66 thousand 300. LBoard of Directors receives even more with salaries of until q81 thousand 300.
