For high load of hearings and limited space, the judicial agency will transfer the Court and the Extortion Court to a property in zone 9, as of July 21.

One of the reasons stated by the judicial body for relocation is due to the number of people who are arrested for this crime and when specialized instances in extortion, all cases must be addressed.
According to records, as of June 30, more than 850 people indicated of extortion have been captured. Currently, the Extortion Court is located on the third floor of the Torre de Court building, it is also next to the sixth, ninth and tenth criminal courts. Sometimes there is a high concentration of people while waiting for the development of audiences.
Moisés Jerez, Secretary of Social Communication and Protocol of the Judicial Agency, points out that this transfer is due to space and to guarantee adequate attention of the audiences scheduled.
The Court and the Court will operate on the 4th 13-16 Avenue Zone 9. Jerez justifies that it is a project that was already scheduled and that it will be fulfilled as of July 21, as structured. The transferred instances will be the First Criminal Court of Extortion Crimes and the Criminal Judgment of Extortion Crimes.
The transfer is in annual planning. To carry out this transfer, a series of opinions prepared by the Infrastructure Management, Computer Management and Institutional Security Management should be analyzed.
To validate the transfer of the judicial instances, the criminal chamber should expect that all the logistics necessary for operation should be validated by computer science, infrastructure, administrative and security to execute the transfer. In the new facilities in zone 9, 7 hearings and a larger capacity room are planned in the building.
