The authorities of the National Institute of Seismology, Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology (Insivumeh), reported an earthquake on Sunday, August 31.
The event with an intensity of 5 degrees had as an epicenter an area of Mexico, according to the report released by the authorities.
The epicenter was 6 kilometers from Vicente Guerrero, El Chichonal, Mexico.
The exact time of the earthquake was at 12:21 a.m. at a depth of 177 kilometers.
Although the event was not at risk for the country, authorities recommend being informed about this type of phenomena.
