The authorities of the National Institute of Seismology, Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology (Insivumeh), reported an earthquake on Sunday, August 31.

The event with an intensity of 5 degrees had as an epicenter an area of ​​Mexico, according to the report released by the authorities.

The epicenter was 6 kilometers from Vicente Guerrero, El Chichonal, Mexico.

The exact time of the earthquake was at 12:21 a.m. at a depth of 177 kilometers.

Although the event was not at risk for the country, authorities recommend being informed about this type of phenomena.

In recent weeks, some areas of the country have been affected by earthquakes.
