From the city declared a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO, Holy Week is experienced in a unique way, derived from its beautiful natural landscapes, its colonial architecture and the devotion professed by its neighbors and visitors.

Like every year, Catholic devotees and national and foreign tourists prepare to witness the devotion that runs through the cobbled streets between the sound of the Tzijolaj and the funeral marches, on the sawdust carpets and in the middle of the clouds of incense, where faith and tradition converge.

With vigils and processions, the city commemorates the life of Jesus Christ, beginning with the representation of the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday, which is celebrated on March 29. With this, the devotees will enter into the experience of the Easter triduum.

The week, marked by the commemoration of the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made on the cross, extends until April 5, with the arrival of Resurrection Sunday. To be prepared, we share with you the series of tours scheduled for Antigua Guatemala during this period.
