Dedication date of the Miraflores Temple of Guatemala and open day to the public announced

The Miraflores Temple of Guatemalaof the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will be dedicated on Sunday, October 11, 2026, as reported by the institution in a statement released this April 13.

According to the information, the First Presidency of that church announced that the temple, located in zone 11 of Guatemala City, will be dedicated on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 10 a.m.

Additionally, Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will preside over the dedication.

This dedication session will be transmitted to all units of the Miraflores Temple district, it was indicated.

On August 24 there will be a tour for the media, and on the 25th and 26th of that month there will also be tours for a group of guests.

Prior to the dedication of the Miraflores Temple, there will be a day called “Open Doors”, aimed at the entire public. It will take place from Thursday, August 27 to Saturday, September 12, 2026 (except Sundays).

Fourth temple in Guatemala

The Miraflores Temple was announced in October 2020 by then-church president Russell M. Nelson.
