Matchday 19 of the 2026 Clausura Tournament left a table tighter than ever at the top and a lower zone that continues to generate tension with three dates remaining until the tournament closes. Comunicaciones opened the day on Friday with a 1-0 victory over Aurora FC thanks to a header goal from Argentine debutant Agustín Vuletich in the 72nd minute, a result that catapulted the Cremas to the lead with 32 points.
Mixco equaled that mark this Saturday by beating Xelajú MC 3-1 with a double from Nicolás Martínez, leaving both teams at the top of the Clausura with 32 points each. Antigua GFC and Xelajú remain third and fourth with 30 points each after the colonials’ 1-0 victory over Municipal with a goal from Agustín Maziero, while Mario Acevedo’s Rojos fall to sixth place with 29 points after their defeat at Pensativo.
The day also had important results in the lower part. Achuapa beat Malacateco 1-0 with a goal from Carlos Santos in the 51st minute, a result that moved the relegation zone and left the Toros in last place in the Clausura with 16 points. Cobán Imperial and Guastatoya shared points with a 1-1 draw in which Santiago Gómez equalized at 78 for the Pecho Amarillo in a match full of controversies.
This is how the Clausura table looks after matchday 19
Comunicaciones leads with 32 points, tied with Mixco in second position. Xelajú MC and Antigua GFC appear third and fourth with 30 points each, while Cobán Imperial and Municipal share fifth and sixth place with 29 points. Marquense is seventh with 27, Guastatoya and Mictlán share eighth and ninth with 25 points each, and Aurora FC closes the classification zone in tenth place with 19 points.
In the danger zone, Achuapa has 18 points in eleventh place and Malacateco closes the table with 16 in twelfth. The difference between both teams and those above them is minimal, which guarantees maximum tension in the three remaining days of the contest.
The next day will have as its highlight the Clásico Capitalino between Municipal and Comunicaciones at the Manuel Felipe Carrera Stadium, a duel that could be decisive in the fight for the leadership of Clausura 2026 and that will also have important implications in the accumulated table where the fight for permanence remains completely open.
