Antigua Guatemala will host the 2026 Wood Festival, where artisans and carpenters from different parts of the country will meet to highlight art made from wood.
In this activity, the 25 participating exhibitors will be able to show their carved pieces, as well as various products made by hand. According to the Municipality of Antigua Guatemala, this event seeks to promote local economic development, artisanal talent and the sustainable use of forest resources.
The artisanal pieces give visitors the opportunity to learn about and acquire unique products, as the event seeks to promote micro, small and medium-sized businesses, encourage innovation and strengthen the local economy.
In its promotional material, the Spanish Cooperation Training Center in Antigua Guatemala highlights that this second festival will allow visitors to live the experience of wood art, by presenting “Exhibitions, design, workshops and recreation in a single event.”
