This Wednesday, starting at 8:00 p.m., one more edition of the national classic will be played, the most anticipated duel in Guatemalan soccer between the two most successful teams in the country. The Municipal team will receive Comunicaciones at the Manuel Felipe Carrera stadium, “El Trébol”, in what will be the 337th classic in history.
Reds and creams will meet for the second time in the Clausura 2026 tournament. In the first round match, corresponding to matchday nine of the competition, the white team won 1-0, thanks to a goal from Wilson Pineda, a result that allowed them to keep the three points.
For this match, the scarlet team will seek revenge against its eternal rival and add a victory that will allow it to get closer to the first places in the table, taking advantage of its home status and the support of its fans.
For its part, Comunicaciones will arrive with the mission of adding three important points, not only to move away from the bottom of the accumulated table, but also to maintain the leadership of the tournament.
